2009 Remodel

The horizontal beam was added to hold the projector screen. Now it makes a beautiful cross above the altar.

July 2015, the roof cross was clad in copper. As members gathered to witness the blessing by Pastor Klos and lay their hands on the cross to forever leave their prints, Mrs. Merkau picked up several pieces of the copper that had been shaved off as a memento. When others inquired what she was doing, she opened her hand and this is what was displayed. God is Love!
Mission Statement: Come, grow in Christ, go and serve.

Vision Statement: As a community of faith in Christ, we welcome all. Through God's grace, we will proclaim and teach the Gospel, equipping disciples to show God's love in action and to become the hands of Christ in the world.
Goals:
To make all feel welcome & an important part of our faith community.
(Visitors, homebound, regular attendees, not regular attendees, fringe attendees, and to reach out to people in our community who are looking for a place to make connections with others and with God.)
To make disciples by equipping for mission/ministry our children, youth, and adults.
(Increase opportunities to nurture faith in people of all ages that they might grow in Christ: Sunday School, youth ministry, young adult ministry, & small group Bible, fellowship, and support groups.)
To proclaim the Gospel of our Lord and to enhance our worship experience through the increased use of music, drama, and art.
(Music director & musicians, choir(s), individuals, drama groups, such as puppeteers, banners, etc.)
To coordinate volunteers for ministry to the church and our community.
(Enable people to discern their spiritual gifts, values, & passions, identify the needs and opportunities for service, & train and equip people to utilize their God-given gifts for ministry in their daily lives.)
To train and equip our lay leadership.
(Council members, committee members, worship leaders, small group leaders, teachers, youth leaders, etc.)

In 2009 St. Paul underwent a remodel in the Narthex and Sanctuary. Before new carpet was laid, church members wrote their favorite scriptures on the concrete. Now, every time we enter the Sanctuary, we are indeed Standing on the Words of God!
